Shuttles on rail are an excellent solution as a versatile dorsal for transferring Load Unit between more lines/machines together while there is the supply centralization of consumables/semi-finished or the output centralization of UDC output or when the implants area are away from each other.
As proof that they are reliable and performing, they are able to contain one or more UDCs, they can be equipped with more transport levels (ex. Full pallets + empty pallets basis) and they can be equipped with load stabilization systems depending on the height/type of product.
The correct placement of the shuttle beside the stations is guaranteed by a special optical reading instrument which is incorporated in the machine while the unit control can be located beside the machine where the shuttle is integrated (ex. Multiple line palletizer) or dedicated in case of more complex systems.
